I am the great-granddaughter of a former rabbi. I have very few memories of my great-grandpa other than pictures and stories from my grandparents. I know that he was a well-respected, smart, and wonderful person and rabbi. Every time I pass Temple Sholom on Lake Shore Drive I am reminded about how important the Jewish religion is to me and my family. I feel a responsibility to keep his memory and teachings alive by continuing to observe and practice Judaism.
